Teaching & Learning Advisory Council (T&LAC)
The Teaching & Learning Advisory Council (T&LAC) serves to advise district leadership on curriculum, instruction, assessment and programming.
The council consists of parent representatives from each school in the district as well as community representatives, teachers, administrators and school board members. The council meets five times a year to learn about and provide feedback on new initiatives, curriculum updates, student achievement reports, and instructional resource recommendations. The council’s recommendations are then shared publicly at school board meetings by a school board member who attended the T&LAC, the Assistant Superintendent, and the Directors of Teaching & Learning.
Lakeville Area Schools’ parents and community members are invited to apply for membership. Applications are reviewed annually in August and September.
