Lakeville South student places first at DECA National Competition

A Lakeville South High School 9th grade student took home a first place award at the DECA International Career Development Conference. Alice Yi won first place in the Principles of Business Management and Administration category, coming out ahead of students from schools across the country. The competition was held in Orlando, Florida April 22-25.
Lakeville South junior, Henry Caswell, also placed high, finishing in the top two of his section in the Financial Consulting role-play category.
More than 22,000 high school students competed at the competition in more than 60 categories by demonstrating their college and career knowledge and skills. Lakeville Area Schools is proud to have had 18 students competing at this year’s conference:
