Lakeville Area Schools values input from its larger school community. The District is forming a Facility Task Force to provide input on school district facility needs for the next 10 years. Parents and legal guardians can volunteer on the task force as part of an advisory body.

Task Force Purpose
The purpose of the Facility Task Force is to provide input for school district facility needs for the next 10 years in order to accommodate current and projected enrollment growth with alignment to the desired daily experiences of our students.
The task force will cover facility issues based upon demographic, capacity, and program studies and provide recommendations with analysis. The task force will be responsible for providing community and stakeholder perspective on facility space priorities.
This is an advisory body, not a decision making body. This group will be no more than 20-25 people.
Membership Requirements and Selection Criteria
Members must be a parent/legal guardian of a Lakeville Area Schools student(s) or resident of the school district, employees or officers of collaborating organizations, or employees of the Lakeville Area Schools.
Members must have the ability to analyze complex data and issues, and prioritize needs. Members must be able to work collaboratively, listen to multiple perspectives and ensure all voices are heard.
This volunteer committee will be composed of parents/guardians, residents, field experts and staff. We are seeking a wide variety of perspectives as well as a commitment to attending all meetings. Members will be appointed by the Superintendent through the application process.

The following is a tentative meeting schedule for the Facilities Task Force.

- Wed., Jan. 11, 5 p.m.
- Wed., Feb. 1, 5 p.m
- Wed., Feb. 22, 5 p.m.
- Wed., Mar. 15, 5 p.m. (if needed)

Applications will be open beginning Nov. 22 through Dec. 2. Applicants will be notified of selection by Dec. 7.
