“It has been a good run, with lots of challenges and accomplishments along the way--thanks in large part to the amazing employees that make up Lakeville Area Schools,” Massaros said. “It is time for me, however, to step aside and hand off the reins to the next generation of leadership--which I know will take Lakeville Area Schools to even higher levels of excellence.”

Prior to Lakeville Area Schools, Massaros worked in three other Twin Cities area school districts as well as the private sector in various human resources and legal capacities.

“On behalf of the Administration, I’d like to express our sincere appreciation for Tony’s work and leadership at Lakeville Area Schools,” said Superintendent Doug Van Zyl. “We wish him the best as he begins his next chapter in life.”

Superintendent Doug Van Zyl will be heading up the process for hiring the next Executive Director of Administrative Services in collaboration with the Executive Cabinet starting in October 2022, with the goal being to have a replacement in place by December so that a smooth transition can occur.
