A Final Message from Superintendent Michael Baumann
June 10, 2022
Lakeville Area Schools students, staff, families and community,
Yesterday we celebrated the last day of school and graduation for the Class of 2022 as the 2021-22 school year came to an end. On behalf of Lakeville Area Schools, I want to thank you for your partnership through this school year! I’m proud of our students who have learned new skills that will support them well into their futures. And, I’m also proud of our staff who were tenaciously committed to supporting our students as they readjusted to school post-pandemic.
This school year, Lakeville Area Schools launched a comprehensive strategic planning process. Thank you for providing your essential feedback to this process throughout the year. Work continues on the plan and the results of this process will provide the District with a framework to implement an ongoing continual planning model centered on meeting the needs of its students. This work will launch next school year.
While the official school year has come to a close, we are excited to continue to provide engaging programs and learning opportunities for students of all ages through the summer months. We also recognize students and families may have ongoing needs throughout the summer months. To stay connected to opportunities, resources, news and events, continue to look for our print and e-newsletters and follow us on social media.
While I am retiring on June 30, I’m enthusiastic about what the future holds for our students and the District. On behalf of everyone at Lakeville Area Schools, I wish you a much-deserved fun, safe and relaxing summer!
Michael Baumann
