Lakeville South educators receive Education Minnesota Human Rights Award

On Monday, July 31, Lakeville South High School educators, Devin Hanson and Leah Hood, were presented with the Human Rights Award at the annual Education Minnesota Union Awards.

At the awards ceremony, Hanson and Hood were presented with a heartfelt video, sharing the reasons why they were selected for this honor. You can watch this video through Education Minnesota’s YouTube channel at bit.ly/EM-Human-Rights-2023.

The Human Rights Award honors Education Minnesota members who have worked to protect the human and civil rights of educators and/or students. These are individuals that create a welcoming school environment for all.
