6/6/22 Panther Announcements
Good Morning Panthers! This is Ms. Budde. Would you please join me for the last Pledge of Allegiance for this school year? I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
We will have an advisory today (Monday) and tomorrow (Tuesday) this week before finals begin on Wednesday. This time is to be used to complete the last of your work and to study for your last tests of the year.
As we finish the last four days of the school year, there is always a transformation that happens in a school. With the Class of 2022 out the door, it is time for the students left behind to grow into their new roles as seniors, juniors, and sophomores-no longer juniors, sophomores and freshmen. As this change begins to happen, I want you to start thinking as a class, what do you want your legacy to be here at North? What leadership can you provide to make North more thoughtful, studious, and successful? It is up to you to make that decision now and through the summer. Keep asking yourself, what will be my legacy and how can I make a difference in the culture of our school?
Thank you to our teachers and staff who have worked tirelessly on the many challenges that have come their way. Thank you to our custodial dream team who continues to make sure that the building is clean and ready for you. Thank you to our lunchroom staff who continue to prepare food and efficiently serve you each day. Thank you and congratulations to the staff in our building who will be here for the last week of their career in education. You have been a legacy and a wonderful model for all of us!
Most importantly, thank you to you, our students. You are the reason we do this work! We continue to keep challenging you, teaching you, and learning from you. You make us better people, you bring us joy, and you make this school a pretty amazing place to be.
Now, as we head off into the summer, take time to reflect on this year and relax. For those that are returning in the fall, we look forward to starting the year strong, refreshed, and ready to work on the next chapter of this school's story.
Remember, it’s a great day to be a Panther, and have a wonderful summer!
