OneBook, OneLakeville Library Event at Lakeville North and Lakeville South High Schools
April 29, 2022
On Friday, April 22, student groups at Lakeville North and Lakeville South high schools hosted Christopher Ingraham, author of If You Lived Here, You’d be Home by Now, as part of the annual OneBook OneLakeville library event. During the author's visits to the two schools, students had the opportunity to learn more about Ingraham’s writing process and his role at The Washington Post, as well as how to become a better writer and how to get started with writing a book.
The goals of the OneBook OneLakeville student events are: to encourage students to read and participate in a community-based event; to give students the opportunity to learn from a high-level author; to encourage students to read subjects that will broaden their perspectives and understanding of the world; to provide a connection to the Heritage Library in Lakeville; and to deepen students’ connections to the community.
Ingraham’s school visits were in conjunction with the Friends of the Lakeville Heritage Library's OneBook OneLakeville community event, which took place Saturday, April 23 at the Lakeville Area Arts Center. OneBook OneLakeville was designed to promote reading, literacy and community engagement with members of the Lakeville area community.
