Special Education Advisory Council is accepting nominations for Inclusion Awards
November 14, 2022
Every year the Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) hosts Inclusion Awards recognizing outstanding individuals in the Lakeville Area Schools community. The awards bring awareness to inclusion within our school community and recognize the progress made in providing a supportive and quality education to an increasingly diverse student population, including students who are marginalized due to disability, gender, socio-economic status, cultural heritage, language preference, and other factors.
Kindness and inclusivity are expected as a general rule when it comes to the way all people are treated. As such, there are people in our school community who go above and beyond to make our school community a place of kindness and respect for all. We see these individuals use their gifts in areas like advocacy, service, words or other means to demonstrate extraordinary acts of kindness and inclusion. The Special Education Advisory Council invites you to nominate a staff member, student, parent or community member who embodies these ideals for an Inclusion Award. To nominate someone, please complete the Inclusion Award Nomination Form by November 30 at 4 p.m.
