At the January 13 meeting, the School Board approved several actions related to enrollment, academic policy, and future facilities planning. The Board adopted a resolution allowing limits on open enrollment by grade level when capacity is reached, reviewed a first reading of updates to the Credit for Learning policy, and reaffirmed plans to place a school building bond question on the May 12, 2026 ballot. The Board also approved K–8 attendance area adjustments that will take effect beginning in the 2026–27 school year.

On January 9, the school board held a special work session to discuss K-8 attendance area adjustments for the 2026-27 school year. 

This school year, 46 Lakeville Area Schools educators are hosting prospective teachers and related services providers.

At the January 6 special meeting, the School Board completed its annual organizational business, including the election of officers for 2026, approval of the board meeting calendar and designation of official publications and legal counsel. The Board also reviewed a revised proposal for attendance area adjustments for the 2026–27 school year and scheduled additional discussion before taking action. The meeting concluded with discussion of findings from a recent board investigation and related procedural considerations.

Lakeville North and Lakeville South high schools have selected their nominees for the 2025-26 ExCEL Awards.

At its meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 16, the Lakeville Area School Board unanimously approved placing a bond question on the May 12, 2026 ballot. The proposal asks voters to consider funding additions and renovations at the district’s three middle schools.
