Eighth graders across Lakeville Area Schools got a glimpse into their future at the 3rd annual ‘Stepping Into Your Future’ career exploration event on January 15. Held at Airlake Airport, the student-led event featured interactive exhibits from local businesses, high school programs, and community organizations, helping students connect their interests with real-world career paths.

Lake Marion Elementary STEM Specialist Kimberly Menard has been named a recipient of the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST)—the nation’s highest honor for K-12 educators in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

Students from the Lakeville North High School and Lakeville South High School Debate team shined bright at the 2025 MSHSL Debate State Tournament.
At the January 21 meeting, the board reviewed an academic report and approved a policy committee.

Lakeville South High School has named their nominees for the 2024-25 school year Minnesota State High School League’s (MSHSL) Triple ‘A’ Award.
