- School Board
The school board approved the district's Preliminary Fiscal Year 2027 budget on June 23. The budget reflects increased investments in student learning, curriculum updates, technology replacement, and implementation of new state requirements, while accounting for changes in state and local funding. Kim Baker announced her resignation from the Lakeville Area School Board on June 29. Ms. Baker’s term, which began in January 2023, is set to expire in January 2027.

The Lakeville South High School Clay Target team took home 2nd at the 2026 MSHSL Clay Target State Tournament on June 26, with 97 percent shooting accuracy, breaking 486 out of 500 targets. (2 minute read)

This May, 99 students from the Class of 2026 were awarded academic scholarships, totaling nearly $110,000. These scholarships are a testament to the recipients’ dedication to their studies and academic excellence.
