Dedicated to the Promotion of Excellence

  • We are proud to be a caring community dedicated to the promotion of excellence through knowledge, inquiry, and citizenship. We have two mottos at KTMS: “Where Kids in the Middle Come First”, and “Be Kenwood. Be Excellent!” Our staff strives to keep these mottos in mind as we work toward our goal of improving the learning of every KTMS student. Kenwood Trail is proud to be part of the award-winning, innovative Lakeville Area Public Schools District 194. Our district serves nearly 11,000 students in Dakota and Scott Counties, and spans 86 square miles. At Lakeville Area Public Schools, we are a community dedicated to learning for a lifetime.

  • Daily Instruction for Students Who Are in Quarantine

In the event that a middle school student is required to quarantine, their teachers will provide instruction for them each school day.

     Teachers may choose to:

    • live-stream their class via Webex
    • post a video lesson and/or independent work directions in Schoology
    • communicate directly with students via email or phone

The instruction method may change from day to day based upon the learning activities planned for the class, and teachers will inform students of the chosen method.

For Webex sessions, students should log into the teacher's Webex class at the start of the class period. All teachers have posted their Webex links in Schoology for student access; students are familiar with this from Distance Learning.

For video lessons and independent work directions, students should log into Schoology for the class to watch the video and access and complete the assigned work.

Administrative office staff will send details about student learning expectations to the families of quarantined students.
