Intra-District Transfer
-
New intra-district transfer applications for K-8 students are temporarily paused for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 school years in order to facilitate attendance area adjustments. Information about the 2024-25 intra-district transfer process for high school students and for very limited circumstances is available in the 'Questions others are asking' section below. Current intra-district transfer students will remain enrolled in their current school building for the 2024-25 school year, unless they opt-out to attend their neighborhood school by emailing enroll@isd194.org
Please note: In order to streamline the enrollment process, current Intra-District transfer students entering 6th or 9th grade do not need to reapply. Instead, these students will continue on with their peers on the school path for open enrolled and intra-district students. Intra-District transfer students may opt out to attend their neighborhood school by emailing enroll@isd194.org.
On Feb. 27, 2024, the Lakeville Area Schools Board of Education approved K-8 attendance area adjustments model D3 after several months of designing updated school boundaries with stakeholder input. The school boundary adjustments are necessary in order to address capacity issues across K-8 schools and to open the District's newest school, Highview Elementary. Boundary adjustments for grades K-8 will take effect beginning in the 2024-25 school year, while high school boundaries remain unchanged.
Please note, the Intra-District Transfer process applies only to families who currently live within the boundaries of Lakeville Area Schools and are applying to attend a school other than their attendance area school. If you do not currently live within the boundaries of Lakeville Area Schools, please follow the procedures for Open Enrollment.
