    How to Enroll

Please follow the steps below to enroll in Lakeville Area Schools.
You will need an email address and a computer to complete the enrollment process online. If you do not have access to a computer, our enrollment staff can support you to complete the enrollment application in person at the District Office.

On Feb. 27, 2024, the Lakeville Area Schools Board of Education approved K-8 attendance area adjustments model D3 after several months of designing updated school boundaries with stakeholder input. The school boundary adjustments are necessary in order to address capacity issues across K-8 schools and to open the District's newest school, Highview Elementary. Boundary adjustments for grades K-8 will take effect beginning in the 2024-25 school year, while high school boundaries remain unchanged. Families are encouraged to enroll their student(s) beginning January 1. Early enrollment helps the district accurately staff and resource our schools and ensures that families can receive important communications and updates from their school and the district. To learn more about the attendance area adjustment process, visit isd194.org/attendance-areas.

To confirm your student’s school assignment for the 2024-25 school year, most families can enter their home address using the ‘Interactive Attendance Area Map Tool’ on the District’s Map & Attendance Boundaries webpage.

    Step 1

Use the Interactive Attendance Area Map Tool to verify which enrollment process you should complete.

    • If your address was found, please continue to step 2 below.
    • If your address was NOT found, please contact Centralized Enrollment (enroll@isd194.org or 952-232-2048). They will help you determine which enrollment process to complete.
  • Step 2

      • Proof of address (ex. Home purchase agreement, lease, current utility bill, current driver's license).
      • Proof of your child(ren)’s age (ex: birth certificate, passport).
      • Immunization records (you can request this from your child’s medical provider).

    Step 3

Click the button to submit information and receive link for the enrollment application.

    • After you have submitted your information, you will receive an email with a unique link to your online enrollment application. The email will come from messenger@isd194.org with the subject line “Online Enrollment Application for Lakeville Area Schools.”

    Step 4

    Complete the enrollment application.

    • Please allow for approximately 30 minutes to complete the application. Plan for an additional 10 minutes per child.

    • When you have submitted your online enrollment application, you will receive a confirmation email with an application number from messenger@isd194.org. This confirms your application has been received. This is not yet a confirmation of your enrollment in the district.

    Step 5

Wait for your application to be approved.

    • Lakeville Area Schools staff review and process each application. Applications for the upcoming school year may take up to four weeks to process.
