Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 4
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 4. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. To find out where you vote (voting is based on your home address), use the polling place finder on the Secretary of State’s website, which also includes information about early voting and how to register to vote. All election day voting will take place at the designated polling locations, not at early voting locations. Find additional voting information at mnvotes.org.

Early Voting By Mail
To request an absentee application, you can print the application, or call 952-232-2001 to request an application be sent to you. Once your application is received, complete it and mail it to the address noted below. A ballot will then be mailed to you.

Read the instructions that come with your ballot carefully.

You will need a witness when you vote and complete your ballot. The witness can be either a U.S. Citizen (at least 18 years old) or a notary.

Mail the ballot back to the address listed below as soon as you can. Your ballot will not count if it is received after Nov. 4.
Early Voting In-Person
Early voting begins on Friday, Sept. 19 through Nov. 3. Lakeville Area School District residents can vote in-person at the Lakeville Area Schools District Office (17630 Juniper Path, Suite A 55044). View voting hours in the 'Early Voting (Absentee) In-Person Locations' dropdown below.
All voting prior to election day is considered absentee voting and the application form will need to be completed before you are given your ballot to vote and fold into your secrecy envelopes.
Direct Ballot voting starts Friday, Oct. 17 at the Dakota County Administration Center in Hastings and the Western Service Center in Apple Valley (NOT at Lakeville District Office).
