Lakeville Area Schools serves more than 12,000 students in Lakeville, as well as parts of Burnsville, Elko New Market, Eureka, Credit River and New Market. There are nine elementary schools (K-5), three middle schools (6-8), two high schools (9-12), an alternative learning center, an online 6-12 school, early childhood programming, and lifelong learning opportunities through Lakeville Area Community Education.
