Superintendent

Michael Baumann has served as the district's superintendent since December 2024, after returning to Lakeville Area Schools in September 2024 as the interim superintendent. Baumann previously served as the superintendent of Lakeville Area Schools from 2017 until his retirement in 2022, leading the district through a strategic planning process as well as long-term facilities and security planning. Prior to his role as superintendent, Baumann served Lakeville Area Schools as the Executive Director of Business Services. Prior to his career in K-12 education, which he began at St. Paul Public Schools in 2005, Baumann served in the United States Army for 20 years.
