Lakeville Area Public Schools supports the use of buildings and grounds District-wide to be used by the community. Two week’s notice is requested when applying for a permit. Each group will be held accountable for its participants. Click on the link below to review the guidelines. Facility Use Updates
All District policies, procedures and rules must be followed. Not following facility use policies, procedures and rules may result in temporary and up to full suspension of facility use permissions. Acceptance of an approved permit serves as an agreement to follow all guidance and policies.
The Business Office will review Facility Use and/or Fees annually, with an update to all facility users posted in early March each year that will go into effect in September of the same year.
FAQ's about Facility Use Fees:
- Rental rates for Class 2 & 3 User Groups will increase by 3%, going into effect on the first day of the 2023-24 school year.
- A $10/hr per space for Class 1 User Groups will begin to be charged starting the first day of the 2023-24 school year.
- Group size for non-practice events will have a $15/hr supervisor fee charged to support all needs of the group.
- Staff fees are adjusted as staffing costs and building operating demands evolve. The latter is reviewed and updated annually and is approved at the discretion of the Business Office.
- Time, date, and size of usage will determine if staff fees will be applied. There are also specialty spaces that require staff to operate equipment instead of a user group. Specifics can be obtained by emailing facilitiesuse@isd194.org
- Any other fee updates that will go into effect the first day of school in September 2023 will be included in an email notification to all current facility user groups/contacts and updated on this webpage prior to June 30, 2023.
ADDITIONAL REMINDERS ON FACILITY USE:
Adult supervision is REQUIRED for ALL facility use. Minors will be asked to leave the property if approved adult supervision is not present. Groups may lose access to permits if this is not strictly adhered to by all who are with an association.
A pre-approved Facility Use Permit is required to be issued for ALL non-District sponsored use of LAS buildings and grounds and the permit must be obtained through the Facility Use office.
Steps include:
- Review the Facility Use Calendar for space availability.
- Complete a Facility Use Request Form
- Submit all required documentation that the Facility Office reviews with groups.
- Any outstanding fees must be paid prior to the permit being approved.
A Certificate of Insurance (COI) is REQUIRED for all non-District sponsored use of LAS buildings and grounds. This COI can be submitted to facilitiesuse@isd194.org. It must list ISD 194 as additional insured and have a minimum liability of $1.5 million per occurrence. If you are with a group that does not have insurance and operates under District sponsored during the school year, please email facilitiesuse@isd194.org for assistance and options.
All outstanding invoices must be paid prior to the next permit being issued. This includes past due application fees, staff fees, etc…

If you intend to serve food in any manner, all Federal - State - and County guidelines / laws must be followed. For assistance, this checklist must be signed and submitted FacilitiesUse@isd194.org at least 14 days prior to your event.

Basic Steps to Requesting Space
- Confirm availability online at this link
- Complete Facility Use Request Form a minimum of 5-10 operating days prior to the date(s) being requested
- Submit current Certificate of Insurance (see requirements below) Email the organization’s Certificate of Insurance to facilitiesuse@isd194.org
- Facility staff will review requests and options to permit the request if possible.
- Facility staff will contact the requestor for set up needs-please be specific when placing a request.
- Upon review and approval, receive a permit within 3-5 operating days
- Outstanding fees must be paid in full prior to a new permit being processed.
- Online payment options are available, please contact Rachel Sather, Facility Use Assistant with questions.
- Payments may be able to be placed in a dropbox outside of the address below (it is labeled Community Education).
