Lakeville Area Public Schools supports the use of buildings and grounds District wide to be used by the community. Two week’s notice is requested when applying for a permit. Each group will be held accountable for its participants. Click on the link below to review the guidelines. These are also listed on the permit, and must be agreed to, upon placing a facility use request.

Facility Use Updates
All District policies, procedures and rules must be followed. Not following facility use policies, procedures and rules may result in temporary and up to full suspension of facility use permissions. Acceptance of an approved permit serves as an agreement to follow all guidance and policies. The District is currently reviewing facility-use policies, procedures and rules. Any recommended changes will be presented to the School Board in the spring and summer of 2022. This will include Classification and Fee Structure review. Please email facilitiesuse@isd194.org for a list of the hourly rental fees by classification.
Adult supervision is REQUIRED for ALL facility use. Minors will be asked to leave the property if approved adult supervision is not present. Groups may lose access to permits if this is not strictly adhered to by all who are with an association.
A pre-approved Facility Use Permit is required to be issued for ALL non-District sponsored use of LAS buildings and grounds and the permit must be obtained through the Facility Use office.
Steps include:
- Review the Facility Use Calendar for space availability.
- Complete a Facility Use Request Form
- Submit all required documentation that the Facility Office reviews with groups.
- Any outstanding fees must be paid prior to the permit being approved.
A Certificate of Insurance (COI) is REQUIRED for all non-District sponsored use of LAS buildings and grounds. This COI can be submitted to facilitiesuse@isd194.org. It must list ISD 194 as additional insured and have a minimum liability of $1.5 million per occurrence. If you are with a group that does not have insurance and operates under District sponsored during the school year, please email facilitiesuse@isd194.org for assistance and options.
All outstanding invoices must be paid prior to the next permit being issued. This includes past due application fees, staff fees, etc…
Facility Use is considered Local and Class I (no rent) if the majority of participants are from LAS and are non-profit organizations. To see more in detail, please visit https://www.isd194.org/ce/facility-use/scheduling and review classifications.

Basic Steps to Request Space
- Confirm availability online at this link
- Complete the Facility Use Request Forma minimum of 5-10 operating days prior to date(s) being requested
- Upon review and approval, receive permit within 3-5 operating days
- Email the organization’s Certificate of Insurance to facilitiesuse@isd194.org
- Submit a Preparedness plan for operations and steps that each group will put in place in accordance with MDH guidelines. This is required for all non-District sponsored user groups
- Pay the Application Fee as noted on the permit. Online payment options are available or by mailing a check to:

- A virtual meeting between a Facility Use Office team member, group officers, and onsite group leaders may scheduled to review proposed use, preparedness plan, and leader and participant expectations.
- An onsite walkthrough of the approved spaces that will cover all items discussed during the virtual meeting.

Space Specifications
There are many spaces that are requested on a high volume throughout the year. Listed on the links below are the most used spaces specifications. Requesting space does not imply that the request is approved.

Building Hours
Building hours are set by District administration according to policy. All facility use requires to be scheduled during building hours. Outside of building hours the user will be subject to staff fees.

Facilities Information Regarding COVID-19
